Admission Process

B.E./B.TECH.COURSES :

Admission Procedure:
Eligibility for 1st year B.E./B.Tech. programmes

Pass in HSE(academic stream)/CBSE/Pre-degree/Plus 2 equivalent school study with minimum eligibility in Mathematics, Physics,Chemistry (Or)

Pass in HSC(vocational stream) with engineering/technology as vocational subjects and any 1 or 2 of the related subjects like Maths,Physics,Chemistry (Or)

Any equivalent qualification approved and recognised by the State Board of Technical Education and Training / Higher Secondary Board of Tamil Nadu and Universities in Tamil Nadu.
LATERAL ENTRY :
   
• 10% of sanctioned strength for B.E. / B.Tech. Programmes.
   
 Communal Reservation
   
• OC – 31%, BC – 30%, MBC – 20%, SC – 18%, ST – 1%.
   
• Transfer of students done on rare case with permission of Directorate of Technical Education.
 
PG COURSES :
   
• 50% Government Quota and 50% Management Quota through Entrance test conducted by Anna University.
   
• M.E.– minimum qualification passed in B.E. concerned disciplines.
   
• MBA– any graduation, admission through MAT / State Govt. Test.
   
• MCA – any graduation with Mathematics and Computer, admission through Entrance Test.
   
• M.Sc.(CT) – any graduation.
   
• M.Sc.(SWE) – +2 (HSC) level.
   
Admission procedure
• Selection based on marks obtained in the qualifying degree and TANCET examinations conducted by the Anna University for Government quota
   
• Marks obtained in the entrance examination conducted by any authorised association /agency for management quota
